ART-ER Attractiveness Research Territory is the consortium company established by the Emilia-Romagna Region, the universities and research centers, the Union of Chambers of Commerce, and other entities.

Its mission is to foster the sustainable growth of the region through the development of innovation and knowledge, attractiveness, and internationalization.

ART-ER has been a partner of the New European Bauhaus (NEB) since 2022 and aligns with its objectives to improve the quality of living spaces, promote beauty, culture, sustainability and environmental care, and foster attention to local communities and vulnerabilities.

 

ART-ER coordinates the NEB Local Chapter Emilia-Romagna in collaboration with the University of Bologna – Department of Architecture. In this role, it actively participates in the initiatives launched by the NEB Unit of the Joint Research Centre (JRC) and engages in dialogue and collaboration with the coordination of European NEB Local Chapters, strengthening the role of territories within the Community.

They operate in the cultural and creative industries, with a specialization in audiovisual, music, fashion, design, technologies, communication, and social media. They integrate research with digital and enabling technologies to develop new products and services, generating opportunities and synergies aimed at innovating the productive skills of the region and strengthening a circular creative economy.

 

The CRICC research focus is on experimenting with forms and processes through which Culture, Creativity, and the Arts, leveraging digital and enabling technologies, can give rise to economically sustainable products, services, and activities. The goal is to foster the creation of new entrepreneurial ventures and promote qualified employment growth within the regional productive fabric of Emilia-Romagna.

Sineglossa is a cultural organization that applies contemporary art processes to the challenges of our time. It explores new transdisciplinary approaches capable of engaging with complexity and promoting sustainable development models.

Its method is based on the cross-pollination between humanities and scientific disciplines, aiming to identify solutions that are beautiful, sustainable, and inclusive.

It operates within hybrid ecosystems involving artists, scientists, entrepreneurs, and humanists, together with universities, public administrations, and local communities. Strongly believing in the fundamental social role of culture, it promotes culture-based innovation capable of generating impact in territories and organizations.

Sineglossa experiments with and shares new tools to interpret and transform the present, addressing its complexity to redefine the values guiding collective choices and envision more human possible futures.

Circular Economy HubBACKBO is a connector that brings together virtuous initiatives and facilitates the transition towards a zero-waste Bologna.

 

Its goal is to reduce waste and raise awareness about pollution caused by single-use products.

BACKBO works to accelerate the transition to sustainable development through grassroots, concrete actions, including:

Organizing workshops dedicated to the creative recycling of plastics;

Providing a reusable cup service as a sustainable alternative to single-use products.

The Fondazione Architetti Reggio Emilia was established in 2009 to support the promotion of architectural culture and the profession of architecture through training, outreach activities, and participation in national and international networks. Today, the Foundation has multiple agreements with local schools and cultural institutions, including Fondazione Palazzo Magnani, Fondazione E35, and Liceo Artistico G. Chierici.

 

Its expertise and promotional activities on sustainability, in line with the national strategy, are exemplified by its work within the Rigenera Architecture Festival, continuously organized by the Foundation from 2020 to the present, in collaboration with the Order of Architects PPC of Reggio Emilia and numerous local, national, and international partners.

Future Food Institute (FFI) is an international foundation that addresses global challenges in agri-food systems through education, research, and innovation, promoting sustainable development models. 

FFI is a partner of the New European Bauhaus Emilia-Romagna and shares the NEB vision of transforming living and production systems by combining sustainability, beauty, and inclusion, placing communities and territories at the center.

At the heart of an ecosystem composed of the foundation and a benefit corporation, through its Living Labs in Italy (Bologna, Florence, Pollica) and abroad (Tokyo), FFI experiments with concrete practices in ecological regeneration, social innovation, and the enhancement of food-related cultural heritage, with particular focus on the Mediterranean Diet and inner rural areas.
